A new class of gene therapy

Cells that make their own
long-lasting medicine

Nyxa makes durable gene therapies — delivered like a vaccine, programmed like software, without viruses.

The idea

Send the cell a blueprint — and the printer to read it.

Today, gene therapy delivers DNA. We deliver the recipe to make DNA — inside the cell. It is all RNA, manufactured the same way as a COVID vaccine.

  1. 1

    A recipe, not a drug

We send the cell RNA instructions — the same kind of molecule as an mRNA vaccine.

  2. 2

    Delivered like a vaccine

A tiny lipid droplet carries them into the cell. A simple, re-doseable shot.

  3. 3

    The cell builds it

The cell reads the instructions and makes its own lasting copy of the healthy gene.

  4. 4

    A durable effect

That copy keeps making the needed protein long-term — and can be topped up.

Delivered like a vaccine — lasts like a gene therapy.

Differentiation

Safe like mRNA, durable like AAV — without editing the genome.

Durable — even in dividing cells

The written copy persists, and a self-renewing version duplicates with each cell division — so expression lasts even where AAV dilutes away. mRNA and circRNA fade in days to weeks.

Non-integrating & re-doseable

Episomal — no genome cutting, no integration, no anti-capsid immunity. A cleaner safety story than CRISPR or lentivirus, and you can dose it again.

No cargo ceiling

An RNA recipe has no capsid — no ~4.7 kb limit — reaching big-gene diseases (Factor VIII, von Willebrand, CPS1) that can’t fit inside a virus.

Low immunogenicity by design

Amplification happens at the DNA level, not by RNA self-replication — avoiding the double-stranded-RNA innate trigger that makes self-amplifying RNA inflammatory.
